Water - Private or Public Good? Sixth Dialogue on Science, Water has all the aspects of a commodity - at least in regions with abundant supply. Which system - private or public management - offers high availability, security and quality at a reasonable price? This upcoming conference will emphasize not only the political aspects of water, but also the socio-economic factors it entails. Leading experts such as Bernard Barraqué, CNRS, Paris, Jack Moss, AquaFed, Paris, Manuel Ramon Llamas, Complutense University, Madrid, Christian P. Frutiger, Nestlé S.A., Vevey, Mark W. Rosegrant, CGIAR, Washington, Wolfgang Kinzelbach, ETH Zurich and many others will discuss with you the problematic issues. As in past conferences, young scientists will prepare one session and report their findings on the future of water supply in their respective countries of origin. If you did not receive a personal invitation and are interested in participation, please contact Dr. Dominik Galliker, E-Mail: info@academia-engelberg.ch. |
