Challenging Democracy 9th Dialogue on Science, 13 – 15 October, 2010 Nowadays, democracy is regarded almost all over the world as the only correct system of government. The people’s participation is often requested to ultimately prove the correctness of the system – as a final legitimation. Democracy in its many forms – parliamentary, presidential, direct or indirect, in a republic or as part of a monarchy – is considered to be the non plus ultra of political organization. It is necessary to spread this democracy among as many peoples around the globe as possible. |
