Prof. Costas Varotsos, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Costas Varotsos was born 1955 in Athens. He lives and works in Greece. 1999 he was elected professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After studies at the Academia di belle arti in Rome and in the Architecture Department at the University of Pescara, he received a fullbright grant from 1990-91 to pursue his artistic projects in New York. Since 1978 he was invited to present his work in a great number of personal exhibitions in countries such as Italy, Greece, Belgium, Switzerland, USA and Japan. At the Biennale of Venice he participated on behalf of Greece and of Italy. Varotsos works primarily in glass, steel and stone, materials, which he transforms into works of art that radiate with, spiritualized music and cosmic poetry. Sculptures of the artist are owned by the following museums:
