Dina Pomeranz
PhD candidate in economics, Harvard University
Dina Pomeranz is a PhD candidate in economics at the Harvard University
Department of Economics, where she is specializing in development
economics and in the analysis of policies aimed at poverty reduction.
Prior to her doctoral studies, she graduated in international relations
and international economics at the Institute for International
Relations (HEI) in Geneva.
Besides her academic interests,
Dina Pomeranz has been active in a variety of organizations, including
as a consultant to the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs
SECO and the Chilean Tax Authorities, an intern at the United Nations
Refugee Agency UNHCR, a founder and organizer of the network ‘Swiss
Economists Abroad’ and of the association ‘Swiss Friends of TamTam
Africa - Together Against Malaria’.
Her endeavors have led her
into many different parts of the world and have been recognized by
rewards such as the dissertation fellowship of the ‘Project on Justice,
Welfare and Economics’ of Amartya Sen at Harvard University and the
membership of the Swiss Study Foundation.
