Foundation committee

Dominik Galliker

Dominik Galliker is the vice-president currently serving as secretary of the Academia Engelberg Foundation committee.

Born in 1938, he studied at the university of Fribourg (Switzerland) and obtained his doctorate in experimental physics in 1969. After some years in the industry (ABB), he worked 25 years in different functions at Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund (accident prevention, buildings). From 1988 to 1998 he served as CEO of the Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund (SUVA). Additionally he was a member of different national and international commissions, e.g. president of the Swiss Accident Prevention Office (bfu) and the Swiss Federal Coordination Commission for accident prevention (EKAS), vice president of the chemical section of the International Social Security Association (ISSA).
