Dr. Michael Friedewald
Michael Friedewald (*1965) studied electrical engineering and economics at the Technical University (Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule - RWTH) in Aachen. In 1999 doctorate with a thesis on the History of Personal Computing, and awarded the Rudolf Kellermann Prize for the History of Engineering by the German Association of Engineers (VDI). From 1999 scientific associate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovatioon research (Institut für Systemtechnik und Innovationsforschung) in Karlsruhe. His current fields of work include: scientific-technical trends in information and communications technology; analysis of market potential of new technologies; media utilization research. He as also written a future-oriented study on “Ambient Intelligence in Everyday Life” for the European Commission. |
