Dr. Reinhold Eberhardt
Reinhold Eberhardt (*1959) studied electrical engineering at the Universities of Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. He received a Dipl.-Ing. (Master) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Karlsruhe in 1984 and Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) from the Technical University of Darmstadt. In 1984 he joined Siemens and was involved in the development of ISDN telecommunication systems. In 1988 he joined the AEG Research Institute in Ulm which later became the DaimlerBenz Research Center Ulm and is now the DaimlerChrysler Research Center Ulm. He first worked in the field of local area networks, high-speed and mobile communication systems and network and system management. Further research work was on applying multimedia and high-speed communication systems in the area of teletraining and telelearning. He was project manager of several internal research projects on network management and distance education systems. Since 2000 Dr. Eberhardt is head of the Communication Systems department of Daimler Chrysler’ s Telematics Research. |
