Marcello Ferro is currently working as partner at the Sergio Bermudes' law office in Rio de Janeiro and serves as Professor for Civil Law at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.

Marcelo Ferro graduated at the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (LL.B., 1985). Afterwards he obtained the "Diplôme Supérieur de L'Univesité en Droit Civil" at the Univesité de Droit d'Economie et des Sciences Sociales de Paris, Paris II. 1994 he received his LL.M. at the University of São Paulo.
