Report of the Congress

Which actors determine democratic decisions? What requirements are necessary so citizens are able and want to make use of their rights? What is the essence of direct and applied democracy?

These questions were discussed at the 9th Dialogue on Science of the Academia Engelberg Foundation held in October 2010 in Engelberg. In the interdisciplinary and intergenerational congress the term of democracy was viewed from different angles.

As usual, young scientists have been actively engaged in the presentations and discussions on the links between science and democracy, freedom of choice and the future of democracy in a globalized world.

Here you will find the audio and video files and other documents of interest of the 9th Dialogue on Science.
